Atlanta Motor Speedway to Offer New Menu Made with Coca-Cola(R) Products During Labor Day Night Racing Weekend

[media-credit name=”AtlantaMotorSpeedway.com” align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]HAMPTON, Ga. (May 18, 2012) – Atlanta Motor Speedway will debut a novel Taste of Coca-Cola® concession stand featuring popular food items made with Coca-Cola® products during the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AdvoCare 500 weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

This marks the first time in motorsports that a concession stand has been branded with a Coca-Cola® food menu.  Atlanta Motor Speedway is a logical place to offer the unique food menu, as Atlanta serves as the global headquarters of Coca-Cola®.

“We are very proud to introduce the Taste of Coca-Cola® concession stand,” said AMS president and general manager Ed Clark. “What makes this stand unique is all the items are made with Coca-Cola® products. I have personally tasted each one, and they are delicious. Food is a big part of any great party and we are excited to bring these new tastes to the biggest Labor Day party in the USA at Atlanta Motor Speedway.”

Fans and media members are being asked for input in voting on what items they would like to see featured at the Coca-Cola® concession stand. The recipes were created exclusively for Atlanta Motor Speedway by Levy Restaurants and not only feature the iconic brand, but also some of Georgia’s famous food exports. The items up for vote are Coke Zero® Braised Beef Tacos, Coca-Cola® Chili Dog, French Fries with Coca-Cola® dipping sauce, Georgia peaches and Sprite® Elephant Ear and Cherry Coke® BBQ Pork Sandwich with Vidalia onion rings.

Coca-Cola® Racing Family Members Greg Biffle and Joey Logano tasted all of the menu offerings on Friday, May 18, and weighed in on their favorites.

“By far my favorite was the taco and the chili dog,” said Biffle. “Everything was great; I don’t think you could go wrong with any one of the items.”

“I agree with Greg,” said Logano. “My favorite was the taco, but the dessert was my next favorite.”
