Toledo, OH (May 22, 2012) — 18-year-old rookie, Ryan Reed has been to three short tracks this season in the ARCA Racing Series filled with strong, competitive fields. This past weekend was no different as Ryan made his first start at Toledo Speedway capturing a 12th place finish after qualifying 16th in the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care on May 20th.

Ryan Reed, driving the No. 15 RaceHard.com car, ended up fourth quickest (16.306 sec / 110.389mph) in the final practice session at Toledo Speedway on Saturday before heading into qualifying.

While Ryan has run in the top-5 positions at every race this season, the No.15 team is still searching for top-5 finishes. The race results may not be up to their standard, but completing each race and consistent finishes has it’s perks as it has kept Ryan in good point standings; he is currently sixth overall and second in Rookie-of-the-Year points.

“Toledo was a fun race. We raced clean, had great pit stops and good race strategy, but we just didn’t get the finish we wanted,” said Reed. “This Venturini Motorsports team never gives up and we will keep working hard and continue to find what works for us. We will get the finishes we want very soon!”

Ryan Reed also kicked off the Ryan’s Mission Wristband Drive with sponsor RaceHard.com at Toledo Speedway. The special designed hood advertising the wristband drive gained a lot of attraction from race fans at the track as they contributed to the fund during the autograph session.Successful online contributions through Ryan’s Mission, RaceHard.com and PacificHealth Labs also helped kick off a great start to the goal to raise $150,000 by the end of the year to benefit JDRF.

The wristbands can currently be purchased for a $5.00 donation through:
– Ryan’s Mission (www.ryansmission.org)
– RaceHard.com (www.racehard.com/jdrf)
– PacificHealth Labs / Accelerade (www.pacifichealthlabs.com)

Ryan Reed and Venturini Motorsports will first travel to the 3/8-mile short track of Elko Speedway (Elko, Minnesota) on June 2nd, before heading to the series’ first intermediate track of Pocono Raceway (Long Pond, Pennsylvania) on June 9th.
