Sandusky, OH – (September 27, 2012) – Travis Pastrana will be piloting the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Toyota Tundra, sponsored by ampm convenience stores at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 29th. This will be the first start for Pastrana in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and with ThorSport Racing.

Matt Crafton has been working closely with Pastrana as his driver coach during his efforts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Pastrana has always wanted to drive in the Truck Series and ThorSport Racing had an open seat in the No. 98 Toyota Tundra. Together with ampm, Pastrana was able to work out a deal to give him that opportunity.

“I am really excited to be running in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with ThorSport Racing. I have been working with Matt Crafton for some time now and I have always wanted to drive the same machine that he drives. Running in the truck series is going to be a huge help with my learning process to run in NASCAR. And it should be a lot of fun.”

Pastrana will also be racing in the 2012 SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe Global Rallycrossseries at Las Vegas, pulling double duty this weekend.

Comments from ampm:

“ampm is excited to go racing with Red Bull and ThorSport Racing and unlike the popular saying, ‘winning in Vegas, doesn’t just STAY in Vegas’. Here’s to the success of ThorSport throughout the race series…  It’s an honor to play a part in the success of the ThorSport Racing efforts this weekend in Las Vegas.  Hammer down, boys. Less brake. More gas.”
