CASSILL LOOKS FOR MORE AT DAYTONA

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Landon Cassill returns to the scene of one of his best Nationwide Series runs when the circuit rolls into Daytona International Speedway this week for Friday night’s Subway Firecracker 250.

Cassill, who is running both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series schedules this season, finished third in a Nationwide race at DIS in 2011.“Daytona is one of those tracks where you can score a good finish if you work the draft right and avoid the accidents,” Cassill said. “I’ve had some good runs there in the past, and Johnny and his guys always bring good cars to Daytona. We’re looking for a good showing this week.”Cassill will drive the Flex Seal Chevrolet fielded by JD Motorsports (team owner Johnny Davis) with Gary Keller.

Cassill has run three Nationwide and five Sprint Cup races at Daytona.

Practice for the 250-miler is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. Qualifying is at 3:10 p.m. Friday, followed by the race at 7:30 p.m.
