ADVANCE NOTES

Bayne at New Hampshire

·         Trevor Bayne makes his fourth NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. In three previous starts at the one-mile oval, Bayne has recorded one top-five and two top-10 finishes.

·         In the past nine NNS races held at New Hampshire, Bayne ranks first in quality passes with an average of 23.7 passes per race. The driver of the No.6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang also ranks fifth in laps led (58), sixth in fastest speed late in a run (124.23 mph) and in speed in traffic (123.46 mph) and eighth in the following categories; average running position (10.004), driver rating (102.2), fastest speed early in a run (124.16 mph), fastest laps run (34), fastest speed on restarts (119.22 mph), green flag speed (124.12) and tied for eighth in green flag passes (97), according to NASCAR’s loop data statistics.

·         Bayne’s average finish of 8.0 at New Hampshire ranks third among all-tracks he has competed on in the NNS. New Hampshire trails only Homestead-Miami Speedway (7.0) and Las Vegas Motor Speedway (5.4) for first overall.

The Car

·         Crew chief Chad Norris brings chassis RK-806 to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend. This chassis previously raced on the short tracks of Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and Richmond (Va.) International Raceway earlier this season, earning finishes of eighth and 11th, respectively.

Recapping Daytona

·         Bayne started the 250-mile event at Daytona International Speedway from the second position and immediately jumped out to the race lead, pacing the field for the first seven laps. After getting shuffled to the back of the lead pack late in the 100-Lap race, the driver of No.6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang utilized a green-white-checkered restart to improve 10 positions in the final lap to take the checkered flag in the ninth position.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on racing at New Hampshire:

“New Hampshire is a fun track to race on. It’s a one-mile track that really races more like a short track than anything else. You’ve really got to race hard and stay on your toes from the drop of the green flag. We’ve been fortunate enough to run really well there in the past and I’m excited for the chance to get back there this weekend with Chad (Norris) and the guys and try to get ourselves a victory with this No.6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang.

Crew Chief Chad Norris on New Hampshire:

“The No.6 team is ready to head to New Hampshire this weekend. It’s a flat, one-mile oval that has more of the characteristics of a short track than a speedway. So as a crew chief, you have to plan for that going into the weekend and make sure that you have the right balance in your car from start to finish. So we’re excited about this weekend and know that Trevor will give our AdvoCare Mustang everything it has and hopefully we’ll get to visit Victory Lane when it’s all said and done.”
