This Week’s Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota at Texas Motor Speedway:  JJ Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 233 in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Yeley last drove this car a few weeks ago at Auto Club Speedway where he brought it home to a 22nd place finish.

Yeley at Texas Motor Speedway:

JJ will be making his 14th NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the Texas Motor Speedway to go along with his 12 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the track.  Yeley has one top-10 finish in XFINITY Series competition which was a sixth place effort in the 2006 event.

JJ earned top-20 finishes in the two 2014 events for JGL Racing at the Texas track.

“Texas 28”:

JGL Racing team owner James Whitener returns to the state where he was raised this weekend.  Whitener was born in Florida but was raised in Freeport, Texas and lived there until 1998 when he made the move to California.

Whitener’s love of Texas is reflected in the name of his restaurant/bar located in downtown Bakersfield, California – Texas 28.  Named after the state of Texas – the 28th state in the Union – Texas 28 also serves as sponsor on the No. 28 Toyota for JJ Yeley.

JJ’s Thoughts on Texas Speedway:

“What is not to like about racing in Texas.  They do just a great job of promoting the races and the crowds are always tremendous.  The track has developed some character over the years and produces great racing for the drivers and fans.  There are multiple grooves in the track so it allows you to run high or low depending on how your car is handling.  A key is to be able to handle well over the bumps down in turns one and two – if you can do that then you have a good shot at a solid finish.  We have been pretty strong on the 1.5-mile tracks and we all expect another strong run this Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.”

Home Sweet Home:

The JGL Racing team will call Courtyard Marriott Addison-Midway home this week during their stay in the area.  The hotel logo will also be displayed on the No. 28 Toyota driven by JJ Yeley.  Conveniently situated to provide travelers with easy access to where they need to be, the Courtyard Dallas Addison Midway hotel welcomes guests with an inviting atmosphere, comfortable accommodations and exceptional service.
