Wallace Featured in XFINITY Promotional Campaign

CONCORD, N.C. (April 8, 2015) – Five-time winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and newcomer to Roush Fenway Racing and the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Bubba Wallace, is featured in the launch of XFINITY’s new video series, designed to showcase the young stars of the series.

The rookie of the year contender is mentioned alongside three superstars of the sport, Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, and Junior Johnson.

“First of all, it really is an honor to be mentioned with some of the biggest icons of the sport,” said Wallace.  “I feel very fortunate to compete in the XFINITY Series, because there is so much talent at this level.  You have a lot of us younger guys, who are really trying to prove ourselves and make a name for ourselves, combined with some of the talent that’s been in the sport for a long time, which just produces great racing.  On top of that, we have a partner on board in Comcast, that has committed to the Series for the next 10 years, which should really get fans of the sport excited for the direction things are going.”

Through the first five races of the season, Wallace has not finished outside of the top-15.  He kicked off the season leading 18 laps at Daytona International Speedway, the most of any series regular.  He traveled to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and earned his best finish of the young season, a seventh-place result.

After two weekends off, Wallace sits fifth in the NASCAR XFINITY Series points standings, 22 points out of the lead.

Wallace and the NASCAR XFINITY Series take to the track at Texas Motor Speedway under the lights this Friday, April 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET on FoxSports1.
