IRWIN Tools Night Race | August 22, 2015

Saturday Night Lights…For fans of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway is one of the most anticipated events of each season. Michael Annett and his No. 46 Pilot Flying J team will take to the half-mile track this Saturday night hoping to be a prevalent part of the evening’s entertainment.

Pilot Flying J’s Home Track…Roughly 115 miles from their Knoxville, Tenn. headquarters, Pilot Flying J, a longtime primary partner of Annett’s, claims Bristol as its home racetrack.

Annett at Bristol…Annett visited Bristol nine times as a NASCAR Xfinity Series driver and scored three top-10 finishes, including a sixth-place result in 2011. He averaged a finish of 14th.

Michael Annett on Bristol Motor Speedway:
“Growing up, I’d watch the night race at Bristol and want nothing more than to be a part of it. It’s an exciting race. For 500 laps, you can use your bumper and change grooves and really impact your night by doing both of those effectively. It’s definitely a fast half-mile – there’s no other track like it.”
