CHASTAIN TESTS KANSAS TRACK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Ross Chastain, rolling along with a fine rookie season in the Xfinity Series, will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300.

Chastain is 15th in Xfinity driver points after finishing 24th last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He has four top-10 finishes this season.

Saturday’s race will be his first Xfinity event at Kansas. He has run one Camping World Truck Series race at the 1.5-mile track.

“We’ve had a pretty good season, and we want to close it out strong,” Chastain said. “I haven’t been to Kansas much, but I was impressed with the track. It’s fast but technical. Looking forward to getting back and getting a good run this week.”

Practice is scheduled at the Kansas track at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 12:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 4. Four races remain on the 2015 schedule.
