Ford Performance NASCAR: Keselowski and Burton Post Top-10 XFINITY Runs

Ford Performance NXS Notes and Quotes
Heads Up Georgia 250 – Atlanta Motor Speedway
Saturday, February 27, 2016

Ford Finishing Order:
6th – Brad Keselowski
10th – Jeb Burton
15th – Ryan Reed
18th – Bubba Wallace

BUBBA WALLACE – No. 6 EcoBoost Ford Mustang – “It just wasn’t our weekend. We had some unfortunate circumstances on pit road. I don’t know what that guy was thinking, or his spotter, but nothing went our way. We couldn’t get a handle on the car, so we’ll hit the notes and just restart. We need to bring a different package when we go to Vegas, so I’m looking forward to that.”

JEB BURTON – No. 43 J. Streicher Ford Mustang – “I was having fun today. We did a good job. I felt like we lost some spots on that last restart. The longer we went, the tighter we got. It seemed like later in the day we just kept getting tighter and tighter. I’m really proud of the guys. They worked really hard this week, considering 14 days ago this team didn’t exist. I’m really proud of that and I feel like we’ll get better each week.”

ARE YOU SURPRISED HOW QUICKLY THIS TEAM HAS COME TOGETHER? “A little bit, but I knew I could do it and I knew these guys could do it. They’re working hard. I’ve got a great team and we’re gonna keep getting better. I’m thankful for the opportunity. I’m thankful for J. Streicher and Rocky Ridge on board, and I’m looking forward to getting to Vegas.”

YOU HAD SPEED ALL RACE LONG. WHAT MADE THIS CAR SO GOOD? “Yesterday right at the end we changed some things in the front end and it helped us. I wish we could have unloaded like that and we would have been a lot better, but we were about a 10th-15th place car in practice and Drew worked really hard and all the guys worked really hard and made some adjustments. We’re still not where we want to be, but we showed little spurts of greatness today. We did it in the first round of qualifying and we’ll keep getting better and I think we’ll be even better in Vegas.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI – No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang – “We just weren’t as strong as we wanted to be and needed to be. We’ll work on it from there and try to find a little bit more speed.”
