Indianapolis, IN (Sept. 29, 2026) – James Roe will close out his 2026 racing season this weekend at one of sports car racing’s biggest events, joining Lone Star Racing for the 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Roe will share the No. 80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Luca Stolz (DEU) and Lin Hodenius (NLD) for his fifth endurance event with Lone Star Racing this season. The weekend also marks Roe’s final race of the year after wrapping up his INDY NXT campaign earlier this month.
The IMSA season finale will take on the challenging 2.54-mile, 12-turn Road Atlanta circuit, with the race beginning in the afternoon and continuing into darkness.
“It’s been a busy year and I’m excited to finish it with the crew at Lone Star,” said Roe. “I’ve really enjoyed being part of this Mercedes-AMG program and getting immersed in sports car racing this season. Petit is obviously a huge event and a tough race, so hopefully we can put together a strong weekend and end the year on a high.”
Saturday’s Motul Petit Le Mans takes the green flag at 12:10 p.m. ET. NBC will carry the opening three hours beginning at noon, followed by NBCSN from 3-10:30 p.m., with flag-to-flag coverage on Peacock. International coverage is available through IMSA.tv and IMSA’s Official YouTube channel.
