Kaden Honeycutt will return for a second consecutive NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series campaign with TRICON Garage and as the driver of the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro entry for the 2027 season.
The announcement, which was made by TRICON Garage on Wednesday, October 21, comes as the 23-year-old Honeycutt from Willow Park, Texas, is currently campaigning in his first Truck season with TRICON. Through 22-scheduled starts, Honeycutt notched his first four career victories: Watkins Glen International in May, Richmond Raceway in August, Kansas Speedway in September and this past weekend’s event at Phoenix Raceway in October. He is currently leading this year’s Chase standings by 39 points and has three-scheduled events remaining to maintain the points lead en route to his first series’ championship.
Honeycutt, the 2024 CARS Pro Late Model Tour champion, made his first Truck career start at Martinsville Speedway in April 2022. From 2022 to 2024, he made a combined 34 starts and notched a combined two top-five results and 10 top-10 results. Throughout the three-year span, he competed for five organizations (G2G Racing, On Point Motorsports, Roper Racing, Young’s Motorsports and Niece Motorsports). In 2025, Honeycutt, who entered the Truck division as a full-time competitor, competed a majority of the regular-season stretch with Niece Motorsports, where he notched nine top-10 results through 16 events.
In early August 2025, he was released by Niece with immediate effect due to inking a new manufacturer deal for the 2026 season. Amid the release, he competed with Young’s Motorsports at Watkins Glen International before he replaced the injured Stewart Friesen at Halmar Friesen Racing, a Toyota organization, for the series’ regular-season finale at Richmond Raceway, all of which enabled him to make the Playoffs based on points. Throughout the 2025 Playoffs, Honeycutt notched three top-10 results, including a season-best runner-up result during the Round of 8 finale at Martinsville Speedway in mid-October that enabled the Texan to achieve a Championship 4 berth. During the finale at Phoenix Raceway, Honeycutt settled in third place both on the track and in the final standings.
This season, Honeycutt assumed the steering wheel of TRICON Garage’s No. 11 Toyota entry, an entry that achieved a record-breaking 12 victories and the 2025 championship with Corey Heim. With Honeycutt notching four victories, making the Chase and being within striking distance of contending for his first Truck championship, he has also notched three poles, 14 top-five results, 17 top-10 results, 569 laps led and an average-finishing result of 7.8 through 22-scheduled starts. Since the start of this year’s Chase, he has finished no lower than eighth and has notched three consecutive top-five results, including victories at Kansas and Phoenix that has enabled him to maintain a steady lead in the Chase standings.
Through 81 current starts in the Truck Series division, Honeycutt has accumulated four victories, three poles, 20 top-five results, 41 top-10 results, 625 laps led and an average-finishing result of 13.6 as he pursues his first series’ championship.
With his plans for next season set, Kaden Honeycutt’s pursuit of the 2026 Truck Series championship resumes this Friday, October 23, at Talladega Superspeedway for the Love’s RV Stop 225. The event’s broadcast time is scheduled to commence at 4 p.m. ET on FS1, NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM.
