Anthony Alfredo and Parker Retzlaff will continue to drive for Viking Motorsports for the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
Alfredo, a 27-year-old native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, will retain driving responsibilities of the No. 96 Chevrolet Camaro entry and continue to work alongside crew chief Josh Graham. Retzlaff, a 23-year-old native of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, will return to pilot the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro entry for a second consecutive season in 2027 while also remaining paired with crew chief Danny Efland.
The news comes as Viking Motorsports is campaigning on a breakout year in 2026. Between Alfredo and Retzlaff, the duo have notched a combined seven top-five results, 22 top-10 results and 41 laps led. This season marks Viking Motorsports’ third season competing in NASCAR and first as a two-car organization while having an enhanced technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing.
“Keeping Anthony, Parker, Josh and Danny together was a priority for us heading into 2027,” Don Sackett, Owner of Viking Motorsports, said. “Both of these teams have shown what they’re capable of this season. The way the No. 96 group has come together over the back half of the season has been impressive, and the No. 99 making the Chase in just its second full-time year says a lot about the people at Viking Motorsports. Continuity matters in this sport, and we believe these four give us the right foundation to keep moving forward.”
Alfredo was named a full-time competitor of Viking’s newly formed No. 96 Chevrolet entry in December 2025 for the 2026 season. This season marks his fifth in a row competing in the O’Reilly division as a full-time competitor, but first with Viking. Alfredo competed with Alpha Prime Racing during the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway in February after he originally failed to qualify with Viking. Since EchoPark Speedway in mid-February, he has notched career-high stats in top fives (three) and top 10s (10) through 31-scheduled starts, with his highest-finishing result being a fourth-place run at Sonoma Raceway in mid-June. He has also led 24 laps, holds an average-finishing result of 17.6 and is ranked in 16th place in the 2026 driver’s standings.
Through 182 current starts in the O’Reilly division, Alfredo has accumulated a single pole, eight top-five results, 33 top-10 results, 85 laps led and an average-finishing result of 17.6 as he continues his pursuits of his first series’ victory and championship.
“We’ve come a long way since this team was put together last December,” Alfredo said. “Josh [Graham] and I have worked together before, and the whole No. 96 crew has put in the work to get where we are now. The way we’ve been running lately shows where this team is headed. Being able to carry that momentum into the offseason is huge for us.”
Like Alfredo, Retzlaff first joined Viking at the start of the 2026 season, with this season marking his fourth in the O’Reilly division. He notched four top-five results, 10 top-10 results and 21 top-15 results throughout the 25-race regular-season stretch, which was enough to obtain a first-ever Chase berth for himself and Viking. With two additional top-10 results achieved through seven Chase events, Retzlaff holds a career-best average-finishing result of 13.5 through 31-scheduled events. He is currently ranked in 11th place in the Chase standings and he trails the top-10 mark by 12 points with two-scheduled events remaining in 2026.
Through 138 O’Reilly starts, Retzlaff has achieved two poles, eight top-five results, 27 top-10 results, 80 laps led and an average-finishing result of 19.4. Like Alfredo, he continues his pursuits of his first series’ victory and championship.

“I’m really grateful to ownership and everyone at Viking Motorsports for the opportunity to come back,” Retzlaff said. “This has been the best year of my career, and a lot of that comes down to the team assembled around me . Making the Chase was a big goal for us, but none of us are satisfied. We know each other now and we know what we need, so having another year with the same group has me excited for what we can do in 2027.”
With plans for the 2027 season set, Viking Motorsports’ 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season resumes this Saturday, October 31, at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, for the National Debt Relief 250. The event’s broadcast time is slated to commence at 4 p.m. ET on the CW Network, MRN Radio and SiriusXM.
