Fast & Fun Facts:
• Drive for Autism: For the fifth consecutive year, Dover International Speedway has teamed up with Autism Speaks to create awareness and raise funds for the cause. Joe Denette Motorsports, along with other NASCAR teams in all three series, will carry the Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece logo as a sign of support for the nation’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. Hermie Sadler, an associate of JDM, is an advocate for autism research. His daughter, Hailie, was diagnosed with the disorder in 2001. Hermie, along with his brother Elliott Sadler, have raised more than $500,000 through the Hermie & Elliott Sadler Foundation to raise awareness and promote research for a cure while also supporting initiatives that improve educational opportunities for children and their families.
• Honorary Pit Crew Member: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has partnered with Dover Air Force Base to host 26 service men and women during the Lucas Oil 150 on Friday at Dover International Speedway. This is just a simple way to give back to the men and women who do so much for our country. Guest of the No. 23 GunBroker.com team will be 1SG Alfred E. Venham, a Joint Personal Effect Depot First Sergeant in the Army.
The Dover Details: Jason White will make his seventh start at the “Monster Mile” in Friday’s Lucas Oil 150. The 31-year-old driver has one top-5 finish (4th, 2009) with an average start of 22.7 and an average finish of 21.5. White’s best start at the 1-mile oval is 13th (2009 & 2010).
Whatcha Haulin?: White will pilot chassis JDM06 in this weekend’s NCWTS event a Dover International Speedway. This chassis was last seen at Nashville Superspeedway in April, where White brought home a career best at the 1.333-mile oval (13th). This is the first repeat chassis of 2011 for Joe Denette Motorsports and the GunBroker.com team recently spent some time with this chassis in the wind tunnel.
Get to the Point: Coming off of a career best finish for Jason White at Dover (13th), the No. 23 Joe Denette Motorsports team is up four positions in the 2011 NCWTS owner point standing to 22nd; a mere five markers outside the top-20 and 17 points outside the top-15. Jason White is up to 18th in the 2011 NCWTS driver point standings.
Rearview Mirror-Nashville:Starting 29th, White battled a loose Chevrolet Silverado for most of the Bully Hill Vineyards 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. However, the Richmond, Va. Native, battled his way back from a lap down utilizing pit strategy to gain 16 positions en route to a 13th-place finish in the fifth event on the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule.
