OneMain Financial Announces Title Sponsorship of the Fall NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Dover International Speedway

BALTIMORE, Md. (May 13, 2011)- CitiFinancial – soon to be OneMain FinancialSM – today announced that it will be the title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race to be held at Dover International Speedway on October 1. “The OneMain Financial 200” will be held at The Monster Mile, as the track is otherwise known, and is one of the key races down the stretch of the NNS season leading to the championship.

This sponsorship will be an integral part of the re-branding initiative as US CitiFinancial branches begin operating as OneMain Financial this summer. When CitiFinancial becomes OneMain Financial, customers and NASCAR fans alike can continue to depend on the same local service and support for their borrowing needs.

Mary McDowell, President and CEO of CitiFinancial North America said, “We are thrilled to expand and enhance the thriving presence we’ve had in NASCAR since 2004. As the title sponsor of the ‘OneMain Financial 200,’ we will be able to connect and engage directly with our customers and employees, who are huge supporters of this great sport. We could not be happier partnering with Dover International Speedway.”

Veteran NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler will pilot the No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet in this race and for the remainder of the NNS season. Sadler comes into this weekend’s spring NNS race at Dover in second place in the point standings, only five points behind the leader. During the 2011 NNS season thus far, Sadler has accrued one pole, six top-five finishes and six top-ten’s.

“I’m very much looking forward to racing at The Monster Mile in the fall and hope to bring home a win for OneMain Financial,” said Sadler. “This is a re-branding year for me as well as OneMain Financial, so to have them as the title sponsor of the fall race at Dover makes them the perfect sponsor for the race weekend.”

This season, team owners Kevin and DeLana Harvick of Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI), expanded to a full-time two-car NNS operation, introducing the No. 2 car with primary sponsor OneMain Financial and driver Sadler. Mr. Harvick said, “We have had great results as a team so far this season and DeLana and I feel the success is just going to grow, along with our partnership with OneMain Financial and Elliott, as we continue to make our run at the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship.”
