TOYOTA QUOTES

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 Sport Clips Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 3rd
How was your qualifying run?
“Pretty good. We concentrated on qualifying today, trying to save those tires for tomorrow and I feel pretty confident. We’ve run so well here. I mean, this is one of my top three tracks on the list that I haven’t won at that I really want to win at really bad. We’ll see how it all turns out, but I’m pretty confident. Our Sport Clips Camry was good today and it should be good tomorrow.”

How was your car in qualifying?
“It was pretty good. It was a pretty easy day for us. We didn’t have to change a whole lot. I was pretty happy with it, I just messed up a little bit on that final run and cost us a little bit of time. Other than that, not too bad.”

CARL EDWARDS, No. 19 Subway Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 5th
How did your team make such great progress from practice to qualifying
“It’s not the pole, but I am really proud of my guys. This Subway Toyota Camry was a little bit tough to deal with earlier in the day. The guys worked and worked. Dave (Rogers, crew chief) told me some stuff with the mechanics side they had a couple mix ups and told me after qualifying because he didn’t want to tell me before. They got it better and every round we got better and the top-five starting spot is great.”

What did the track feel like?
“The first round was awful. I totally screwed it up and was having trouble with the car. They got it dialed in and I made the least amount of mistakes the final round, but the key is we got it better and better and that’s what people do. It’s hard to make the cars do what you want, but Dave Rogers (crew chief), he has an amazing ability to make things happen.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s 75 Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 6th

MARTIN TRUEX, JR., No. 78 Furniture Row Toyota Camry, Furniture Row Racing
Starting Position: 17th

How was your Camry in qualifying?
“We had a good run in the first session but for some reason the car got tight in the second round. We made some good runs today — second fastest in practice and seventh fastest in the first round. But we missed it a little in the second round and you can’t have that at this place. I am confident our Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Toyota will be strong Sunday and there will be plenty of time to get to the front.”

MATT KENSETH, No. 20 DeWalt Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 20th

MATT DiBENEDETTO, No. 83 Cosmo Motors Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 33rd

DAVID RAGAN, No. 23 Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 35th
