RCR Post Race Report – Pocono 400

Austin Dillon37th Finish – Start 19 – Points Standing 13

Early Ending for Austin Dillon and Dow/STEM Chevrolet team at Pocono Raceway

“I knew early on we had an issue. We tried to take tape off during our pit stops to alleviate any possible problem with the brakes. I knew exactly what it was when we hit the wall. This doesn’t help us in our bid for the Chase. Michigan (International Speedway) has been a good track for us in the past, so I’m looking forward to what next weekend has in store for us. Unfortunately, today wasn’t our day. I hate it for this Dow/STEM Chevrolet team.” – Austin Dillon

Paul Menard33rd Finish – Start 20 – Points Standings 22

Rain-Delayed Race Ends with 33rd Place Finish for Paul Menard After Mechanical Issue

Today started out strong for us. Our Richmond/Menards Chevy was handling pretty good. I was able to make passes early in the race and get the track position we needed. I’m proud of my guys for how quickly they turned the car around in the garage after the left-front tire went down. It’s been a long week, and to have this strong of a car but to finish where we did, isn’t what our team deserves. We’ll look at our notes and address problems that need to be fixed for July when we come back to Pocono.” – Paul Menard

Ryan Newman Brings Home 12th-Place Finish in the Kalahari Resorts Chevrolet at Pocono Raceway

“We got all we could today in our Kalahari Resorts Chevrolet. We got as high as fifth-place but over the course of the race, it was evident that we were missing a little bit on our handling. On a positive, we ran a clean race and learned some things. Like I told Luke (Lambert, crew chief) after the race, I’m looking forward to Michigan (International Speedway) next weekend.” – Ryan Newman
