New Sponsor, New Paint Scheme for Truex’s Camry at Indy

DENVER, Colo. (July 18, 2016) — The No. 78 Furniture Row Racing entry for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will have a new paint scheme and a new primary sponsor.

The color of Truex’s Toyota Camry will be blue, the corporate hue for Auto-Owners Insurance, which announced earlier in the year that it will be the primary sponsor on Truex’s car for three Sprint Cup Series races. Along with Indianapolis, Auto-Owners Insurance primary schedule includes Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on Sept. 4 and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Oct. 30.

It’s only fitting that Truex’s No. 78 Auto-Owners Insurance Toyota Camry will make its debut with Furniture Row Racing at the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.5-mile oval, one of the crown jewel races in the NASCAR schedule. A few weeks after the Indianapolis 500 celebrated its 100th year of the race in May, Auto-Owners Insurance celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Auto-Owners Insurance, based in Lansing, Mich., offers auto, home, life and business coverage for NASCAR fans and consumers through local, independent agents in 26 states.

“We are excited for Martin to debut the Auto-Owners colors at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Peggy Bodinaku, assistant manager of advertising at Auto-Owners. “The No. 78 Furniture Row Racing team competes for a win each and every week, and we couldn’t be more excited for our first primary race of the season.”

Truex was equally as thrilled to showcase a new primary sponsor, “With Auto-Owners Insurance on board as a primary sponsor, the Brickyard 400 has just become an even more exciting race for our Furniture Row Racing team. I truly feel that we’ll have a good shot at driving the Auto-Owners Insurance Camry to Victory Lane and having our team join the Auto-Owners team in the kissing the bricks ceremony.”
