Herring at Iowa Speedway:
Drew will be making his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Iowa Speedway to go along with one previous start in the Camping World Truck Series.  The event will mark his 19th career start in the series and fourth one this season for JGL Racing.

Drew has had much success at Iowa Speedway having earned two career Pole Awards and a best finish of sixth which came during the 2013 season at the Newton, Iowa track.  He piloted the No. 24 JGL Racing Young Guns Toyota in the XFINITY Series event at Iowa Speedway earlier this season where his solid run was derailed by getting caught up in a late accident.

Drew’s Thoughts on Iowa Speedway:
“Obviously I am really looking forward to heading back to Iowa Speedway this week and getting the opportunity to get the finish, or even better, that we were headed for in the last race there.  I am very thankful for another opportunity to get back behind the wheel – especially at a track that I have worked with the team at already.”

“Hopefully we can go to Iowa this weekend and continue to build on all of the things we’ve learned from the previous races together and finally cap off the finish we deserve. I am very thankful to everyone at JGL Racing for this opportunity and we are all focused on going out there and getting a solid run in this No. 28 Toyota.”

Dakoda’s Replacement:
Drew Herring will step into the seat of the No. 28 Toyota this week at Iowa Speedway in place of full-time driver Dakoda Armstrong.  With Dakoda being presented the opportunity to fill in for Matt Tifft in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 Toyota, it was a popular choice to have Drew return to JGL Racing at a track where he has had a great amount of success.

Everyone at JGL Racing views this week at Iowa Speedway as a tremendous opportunity for Dakoda, Drew and the entire organization.

Crew Chief Steven Lane’s Thoughts:
“I look forward to being able to go back to Iowa with Drew for a second time this season.  We are taking back the same car we ran the first Iowa race.  We had to repair some body damage from the wreck and we have worked on making it better chassis wise.  We learned some valuable stuff with Drew in the first race and look forward to utilizing that and making ourselves even better for this week.”
