PREECE READY FOR MID-OHIO

LEXINGTON, Ohio – Ryan Preece continues to ride on the road this weekend as the Xfinity Series visits the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Preece finished 27th in last week’s road race at Watkins Glen International after suspension problems sent his JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet to the garage. The series’ second straight road race is scheduled Saturday at Mid-Ohio, where Preece will race for the first time.

“Every lap of experience is important for me on these new tracks,” Preece said. “We didn’t get to finish at the Glen last week. We’ll have a better, stronger car at Mid-Ohio. We’re looking for a big weekend.”

The Mid-Ohio course is 2.085 miles with 13 turns.

Preece is 18th in Xfinity driver points entering the race.

Practice is scheduled at Mid-Ohio at 9 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Friday, with qualifying set for 6:15 p.m. Saturday’s race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
