SMITHLEY DEBUTS AT KANSAS

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Garrett Smithley will make his Kansas Speedway debut in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race.

Smithley, a rookie, will drive the ETC Custom Truck Accessories No. 0 Chevrolet in Saturday’s event, the 30th race of the Xfinity season.

“It’s another new track for us, and we’re looking forward to getting there and getting in some laps,” Smithley said. “The 1.5-mile tracks are getting faster every year, and we’re certainly seeing high speeds at Kansas. I’m sure we’ll have a good car out there. We’re ready to ride with ETC Custom Truck Accessories.”

After Saturday’s race, only three events – at Texas, Phoenix and Homestead, Fla. – remain on the Xfinity schedule. Smithley is 18th in Xfinity points.

Kansas practice is scheduled at 2:30 and 4:35 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for noon Saturday, with the race to follow at 3 p.m.
