CHASTAIN TOUGH AT PHOENIX

AVONDALE, Ariz. – Ross Chastain always looks forward to competing at Phoenix International Raceway.

In five races (three Xfinity and two Camping World Truck Series) at PIR, Chastain has done well. In a Truck race in 2013, he finished second.

Earlier this season, Chastain was 24th in PIR’s first Xfinity race.

He’ll drive the Car Shield Chevrolet in Saturday’s Ticket Galaxy 200.

“Phoenix always has been a very good place for me,” Chastain said. “It’s a great mix of a ‘short track’ and a fast one. I really enjoy racing there.”

Practice is scheduled at 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 4:15 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 7:30.
