Roush Fenway Prepares for “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in Richmond
Roush Fenway Racing returns to Richmond Raceway for the second time in the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season, a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit victory lane on 15 previous occasions across NASCAR’s three major touring series.

Former driver Carl Edwards recorded the organization’s most recent victory at the .750-mile short track in Sept. 2013.
Playoff Bound
Roush Fenway driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will officially enter the MENCS Playoffs at the completion of Saturday evening’s MENCS event at Richmond. Stenhouse, who has recorded two victories this season at Talladega Superspeedway in May and Daytona International Speedway in July, is currently ranked seventh in the Playoff Standings with 10 playoff points.
Race to Make the Playoffs
This weekend marks the cutoff race to make the MENCS Playoffs. In order for Roush Fenway driver Trevor Bayne to make the postseason, the driver of the No. 6 Performance Plus Motor Oil Ford must go to victory lane on Saturday night in Richmond.
To XFINITY and Beyond
Roush Fenway has earned nine victories, 43 top-five finishes, 64 top-10 finishes and an average finish of 11.5 at Richmond in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. All-in-all, three different drivers are responsible for the nine victories at the Virginia short track (Edwards, Mark Martin and Jeff Burton).
