Tyler Reddick and Richard Childress Racing’s No. 2 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Team Qualify for Dash 4 Cash with Second-Place Finish at Texas Motor Speedway

Finish: 2nd
Start: 3rd
Points: 1st

“Another race weekend, another fast No. 2 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Chevrolet Camaro. My Richard Childress Racing team has been putting in the work both at the shop and at the track, and it shows with our results. We have a good string of top-five finishes going right now. Today, we just struggled a little bit finding a good balance that worked for both Turns 1 and 2 and turns 3 and 4 since they’re so different here at Texas Motor Speedway, but we really hit on something at the end of the race and the car came to life. If I could run the top line for restarts and then continue it during a run, the handling was much more consistent throughout a run. We’re so close to putting RCR in Victory Lane for the first time this year. We just need a little bit more. I’m excited to have qualified for Xfinity’s Dash 4 Cash event at Bristol Motor Speedway. I’m really having so much fun driving these Camaros this year.”-Tyler Reddick

Kaz Grala and the No. 21 HotScream Chevrolet Team Show Speed at Texas Motor Speedway Despite Late-Race Contact with the Wall

Finish: 18th
Start: 12th
Points: N/A

“We had a much better HotScream Chevrolet than our finishing position shows today at Texas Motor Speedway. We were on a fuel-saving strategy and were set to finish the race in the top-five before the caution came out with about 12 laps to go. Even after that caution, we were in position to still earn a top-10 finish but I got a huge push and ran into the wall a little bit. We just got tight and I was trying to make something stick. It was still a good day for us even though it’s not quite where we thought we were yesterday after posting top-five lap times in practice. I will get better. This race definitely helped me get back into the swing of things after being out of the car for so long.” – Kaz Grala
