No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet News and Notes
. This Week’s Silverado… The No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet Silverado team will bring chassis TMS-0203 to Saturday afternoon’s 50-lap race in the Pocono Mountains. This is the same chassis that debuted at Texas Motor Speedway earlier in the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season where James Buescher captured his first career series pole in route to a ninth-place finish.
. What a Weekend… Buescher completed ‘the triple’ last weekend at LORI, crossing the finish line in all three races inside the top-three. He competed in Thursday night’s ARCA Series event in the No. 4 Great Clips Chevrolet and finished in the third spot. He then turned his focus to Friday night’s 200-lap NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event leading over 90 laps in route to a second place result. The 21-year-old driver ended his three night stretch behind the wheel of the No. 30 FOE Chevrolet for Saturday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series event capturing a career-best second-place finish.
. Moving on Up… After matching his career-best finish last Friday night at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis (LORI) of second, Buescher and the No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado team cut their deficit on point leader Johnny Sauter in half. Buescher now sits 20 points out of the championship lead.
. New Teammate… Both Buescher and Ricky Carmichael will have a new teammate to lean on this weekend in the Pennsylvania Mountains. Veteran Mark Martin will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut with Turner Motorsports on Saturday in the No. 32 Exide Batteries Chevrolet.
. Consecutive Finishes… Buescher has been a roll since late April. In the last nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races, Buescher has picked up 17 spots in the championship point standings and has an average finishing position of 6.1. He and the No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet team have accumulated four top-five and nine top-10 results in addition to a pole position during this stretch.
. Come and See Me… Buescher will participate in NASCAR’s autograph session on Friday, August 5th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. The autograph session will be held in the Pocono Fan Zone area located behind the front stretch grandstands.

James Buescher on driving at Pocono Raceway
“I am looking forward to getting back to Pocono this weekend. We had a really strong run going there last year, running inside the top-five, before tearing up our splitter trying to avoid incident in turn two late in the race. We have been working hard on our trucks trying to find that little extra speed and it has really paid off over the last couple of months. We have shown the rest of the garage we are contenders each and every week.
“It’s an interesting race for the trucks because most race tracks we go to that are that size, you can just hold it wide open and go all the way around the race track. But there, you get down into turn one and you’ve got to get out of the gas. It’s not normal for the trucks to have to do that on a race track that big. It throws you for a loop, but it’s a lot of fun. Turn one has more banking, and the more banking, the easier the thing handles. So we try to focus on the harder corners. The track seems a little easier to get through turn one than the other two.”
