(KHI) co-owner Kevin Harvick will join the No. 2 Hunt Brothers Pizza team for his thrid consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Harvick’s start this Wednesday evening will be his fifth Truck Series start this season, as well as his fifth Truck Series start at the 0.533-mile short track. To date, the NASCAR veteran has made four starts at Bristol gathering one top-five and three top-10 finishes.

SEARCHING FOR VICTORY IN BRISTOL: During the last eight seasons KHI drivers have made a total of 14 starts at the 0.533-mile oval, earning one pole (2009), five top-five and eight top-10 finishes. The organization has also been credited with leading 142 laps at the Tennessee short track, but has yet to lead the lap that is most important, the final one.
CHASSIS HISTORY: Harvick and the No. 2 Hunt Brothers Pizza crew will roll out chassis No. 042 this week for the Truck Series race in Bristol. The No. 2 crew has utilized this chassis on five different occasions this season between four different drivers. Elliott Sadler drove this chassis to a top-10 finish at Darlington Raceway in March. The truck then made its way to Nashville Superspeedway in April with Cale Gale behind the wheel. Harvick and David Mayhew drove the truck to a top-five finish at both Dover International Speedway in May and Texas Motor Speedway in June. Most recently Sadler captured another top-10 finish at Nashville Superspeedway in July with this chassis.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Harvick returned to the driver’s seat of the No. 2 TapouT Racing Chevrolet for the 200-lap event at Michigan International Speedway. The No. 2 TapouT Racing team came to Michigan with one goal: to bring home the trophy. The team, coming off its second win of the season, started the VFW 200 from the sixth position. Harvick battled handling issues and challenges on pit road before driving to victory lane to celebrate their second consecutive win and third victory of the season.

What are your thoughts heading into the race at Bristol Motor Speedway?
“Bristol is one of my favorite tracks. I really enjoy short track racing and I’ve been fortunate to run well there in the past. The main thing to remember about Bristol is that you have to be prepared for anything to happen. Like any other short track the racing is tight and you can get caught up in a wreck in a hurry. You need to go into this race ready to enjoy it while knowing that you might not have the outcome you were hoping for.”
