Front Row Motorsports Statement on John Hunter Nemechek

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (November 16, 2020) – Front Row Motorsports today announced John Hunter Nemechek has informed the team he will not be returning to the organization.

A statement from Bob Jenkins, Owner, Front Row Motorsports:

“We want to thank John Hunter for being a part of Front Row Motorsports and beginning his NASCAR Cup Series career with us. He certainly helped elevate our performance this past season and brought added value to our No. 38 team. We wish him the best in the next phase in his career and he will always be a friend of ours.”

FRM will announce plans for its NASCAR programs in the future.

  1. My best opinion of choice would be to see JHN end up at Spire. That team has the potential at least in the midfield. They have two charters now off the former Toyota affiliate Cup teams. And He would not hesitate going there. Rather than the likes of JTG, BJ McLeod, Gaunt, Rick Ware. And I do expect to see the expanded lineup completed with Corey LaJoie. He and JHN is a perfect youth and experience pairing that Spire needs to move forward. And then crack Top 15s over time with the Gen 7 era in 2022. That is what they are for. and Corey & John Hunter would not mind joining their project. Gutted to see him leave Front Row. But he deserves his opportunity considering he was a regular Top 10 runner in Xfinity/Trucks before.
