Leavine Family Racing Expands 2012 Schedule

Second-year Team Releases Schedule

CONCORD, N.C. (December 7, 2011) — Leavine Family Racing (LFR) will start its season at Bristol Motor Speedway in March, and then embark on an ambitious schedule of at least 15 selected NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races during the 2012 season.

The Leavine Family Racing schedule includes races at Bristol Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, Darlington Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Kentucky Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Chicago Speedway, Dover International Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The team is continuing to evaluate its options for the driver of its No. 95 Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, while David Starr seeks new opportunities. In 2011, Leavine Family Racing competed in four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events with Starr. He posted the team’s season-best finish of 27th at Bristol Motor Speedway in August.

“We are currently interviewing potential drivers,” Leavine said. “We are looking for a driver that will fit into our program.”

As Leavine Family Racing enters its second year of competition, team owner Bob Leavine is keeping his options open with drivers who are looking to secure a competitive seat. Leavine Family Racing has promising leads on potential drivers and loyal current sponsors, but is continuing to search for sponsorship leading into 2012.

Veteran Wally Rogers returns to crew chief the No.95 machine in 2012. In addition to Rogers, the entire shop returns as well along with the same management and administrative staff.
