Greg Biffle, No. 16 3M Ford Fusion – Qualified 7th

“I don’t know. I wish I could do it again like everyone else probably does. I felt the car sliding so I didn’t go to the gas as soon as I should have probably. I don’t know. I got all I could get down here and three and four I kind of feel the same way. The car was sliding up the track a little bit. It seemed real slick to me and then the 55 went and ran that kind of lap. I guess it is only a tenth. If he entered a little different or the car hooked the bottom and he went to the gas really early that would make a difference. Seventh isn’t bad and I feel good about tomorrow. I think we have a good car.”

Matt Kenseth, No. 17 Best Buy Ford Fusion — Qualified 5th

“Our speed was okay but we just have kind of been struggling a little bit with it. We don’t have it quite right for balance. I feel like I got everything there was to get but we just have to keep looking to get our stuff improved a little bit here. I feel like this is one of our better tracks but we are just kind of missing something a little bit this weekend.”

Aric Almirola, No. 43 Jani-King/Smithfield Ford Fusion — Qualified 12th

“I am just mad at myself. I feel like I could have done better. There are some places on the race track I feel like I gave up some time. I didn’t run a great lap but all my guys have given me a really good race car for this weekend. I am looking forward to the race tomorrow. I am sure that time will get beat. If it doesn’t it will be a huge surprise. All in all I thought it was a decent run.”

David Ragan, No. 34 MHP/8 hour Alert Ford Fusion — Qualified 28th

“That was an improvement from yesterday. We always want to improve our our qualifying lap but that wasn’t a great lap. We got tight on both ends and had to inch out of the throttle. We probably left a tenth or two on the table. We worked a lot on race trim. It is a long race here at Dover and the track changes a lot from Friday to Sunday. We will be ready to go when they drop the green flag.

David Gilliland, No. 38 Autism Speaks Ford Fusion — Qualified 30th

“We didn’t quite run as fast as we did yesterday and it felt like we were too tight in three and four. One and two were really good and we made some improvements there but three and four were just too tight and we got up the track and didn’t get the run off the corner we needed. We will go to work on it. We worked a lot on race trim in the second practice and feel we have a really good package for tomorrow.”

Carl Edwards, No. 99 SUBWAY Ford Fusion — Qualified 19th

“We will race better than that tomorrow. That was a frustrating lap. We have a really fast race car for the race though so hopefully we can march up in through there and run well.”

Casey Mears, No. 13 GEICO Ford Fusion — Qualified 41st

“We were just terrible. We were middle of the road yesterday and looking at the pictures after practice we felt like we needed to make some changes based on how the car looked. We just missed it. The front end killed the ground and we were just terrible. I think if we would have left it alone we could have been halfway decent, but as it was we were really far off.”
