Matt Crafton will be competing in this weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.
The three-time Truck Series champion from Tulare, California, will be piloting ThorSport Racing’s No. 66 Ford F-150 entry with sponsorship from Menards and MasterForce in a one-race return to cap off the 2026 season. The news comes as Crafton stepped away from full-time NASCAR competition at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Crafton is the Truck Series’ decorated competitor with the most career starts at 592, the latter statistic of which occurred consecutively over a 24-year career span. Throughout his career, he competed in all but one season with ThorSport Racing, aside from the 2004 season when he drove for Kevin Harvick Inc. He primarily competed in ThorSport’s No. 88 Menards-sponsored entry, an entry that is being piloted by Ty Majeski in 2026.
In addition to the most starts in the Truck division, Crafton also holds the most top-10 results at 333 and he became the first competitor to complete every lap throughout a season when he achieved the feat during his first championship-winning season in 2013. While he is one of two competitors (Jack Sprague) to achieve the second-most titles in the series at three, Crafton is the first competitor to win Truck titles consecutively (2013-14) and the first to achieve a title amid a winless season (2019).
After making his Truck debut during the 2000 season-finale event at Homestead before going full-time racing in 2001, Crafton achieved his first elusive victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May 2008. He then proceeded to notch an additional 14 victories in seven of the following 12 seasons, with his latest victory occurring at Kansas Speedway in July 2020. At 15 victories, he sits in 11th place on the all-time Truck wins list. He also sits in seventh place on the all-time Truck poles list at 16.
This upcoming weekend will mark Crafton’s 25th start at Homestead, a track in which he achieved a victory in 2015 along with a total of 14 top-10 results. It will also mark the first appearance of ThorSport Racing’s No. 66 Ford entry since the 2025 finale at Phoenix Raceway last November.
The 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway is scheduled to occur this upcoming Friday, November 6, at 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1, NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM.
