GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M/Post-It Ford Fusion – “It was just a case of brakes. I’m a terrible driver when it comes to taking care of the brakes. It’s got to be me because we’ve done everything under the sun, but about halfway through I lost my brakes and that’s about all I could do. Off the green it would come back and haul like crazy, but then I just had to keep giving it up. We worked hard. I’m proud of my guys because they didn’t give up.”

CARL EDWARDS – No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion – “Our strategy was very good, but when we put on two tires at the end we went backwards because we hadn’t put on two tires to that point and it was extremely loose. The pit stops were great and I thought the strategy was great, but we just missed something in the setup. It’s really frustrating because, obviously, we needed a good run here today for the points, but we’ll keep fighting and make something happen.”

WILL THIS OFF WEEK ALLOW YOU TO REGROUP? “Yeah, I think so. I think this will be good for us. We’ll go back to the shop and get a real war plan. I say war plan because I think it’s gonna be tough, but we’ve got to plan for the next seven races. We can do it, though, and now we’ve just got to get it done.”

MATT KENSETH – No. 17 NESN Ford Fusion – “We didn’t have one of the best cars. It seems we struggle here as a company a little, but we were pretty good in the beginning. We could never get it good enough to run with the real good guys, so then it’s really about pit stop strategy and restarts. We got it back there at the end and was faster than the three or four cars in front of me, but I just couldn’t figure out how to pass them.”

IS THERE ANY CONCERN THAT THIS IS A CHASE TRACK AND YOU’D OBVIOUSLY LIKE TO DO BETTER THAN THIS THE NEXT TIME AROUND? “I never want to run bad. You always want to run good, but since the introduction of the COT car it has been a struggle here. I think Greg won one time because of some good stops and strategy by being in the front, but, overall, it’s a bad track for us. We’ve got to keep working on it.”
