Eyes on the Prize
RFR’s Greg Biffle trails first place in the Sprint Cup Series by a single point. Matt Kenseth trails by only two points, while a win this weekend would place Carl Edwards in the 12th and final spot for a Chase berth. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is second in the NNS points; 13 markers out of first.
Home Sweet Home
Michigan International Speedway is team owner Jack Roush’s ‘home track.’ Located about an hour’s drive away from Roush Industries in Livonia, MIS has been the most successful Sprint Cup track on the circuit for Roush Fenway Racing. The organization boasts Sprint Cup team-highs in wins (11), top fives (53) and top 10s (91).
Roush Fenway Overall at Michigan
In addition to the impressive 11 Sprint Cup Series wins at MIS, Roush Fenway has won five times in the Nationwide Series (most recently last season) and five times in the Truck Series at Michigan. Overall Roush Fenway has collected 21 wins, 84 top fives and 132 top 10s in NASCAR action at Michigan.
Lucky 21 Wins at MIS
Roush Fenway’s 21 total NASCAR wins at Michigan are the most at any track for the team.
Vast and Varied Victory Lane
Nine different drivers have driven into victory lane at NASCAR races at MIS for Roush Fenway. Five in the Sprint Cup Series (Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards), three in the Nationwide Series (Martin, Jeff Burton and Edwards) and four in the Trucks (Biffle, Travis Kvapil, Erik Darnell and Colin Braun).
Leading the Way
Roush Fenway has led over 2,300 laps in Sprint Cup action at Michigan and is closing in on 4,000 total laps led at MIS.
More at MIS
Roush Fenway will look to turn its 40,000 lap in NASCAR competition at MIS this weekend. Overall Roush Fenway has completed 39,711 laps for just under 80,000 miles in NASCAR action at Michigan.
Roush Fenway at Montreal
RFR has fielded 17 entries at Montreal, having one once, while leading a total of 32 laps and scoring two top-five and five top-10 finishes. Edwards won for RFR at Montreal in 2009 and led 29 laps there in 2010.
Looking to go Back-2-Back
RFR’s Nationwide Series program will look for back-to-back road course wins this weekend in Montreal. Carl Edwards did the honors last week at The Glen. Stenhouse and Billy Johnson will look to make it two in a row for RFR this weekend. A win at Montreal would be RFR’s 14th in NASCAR road course action.
