Brad Keselowski (No. 29 Cooper Standard RAM) Finished 8th “We had a decent day in our Cooper Standard Ram, not bad, not good. We needed some more speed and didn’t have it today. We’ll keep working on it and see if we can find it. We weren’t a mile off and we weren’t right there. We were somewhere in between. If we work on it I’m confident we’ll get it.” “
DO YOU THINK YOU BEING IN THE TRUCK WILL HELP THIS TEAM IMPROVE? “Well you’d hope so but you never know in these things.”
Jeff Stankiewicz (Crew Chief, No. 29 Cooper Standard RAM) “Well if you look back to the way we were in practice in all reality it was a decent day for us and a decent finish. All in all it was a good day for Cooper Standard. This is their home state and we had about 1600 Cooper Standard people here watching the race. At the end of the day, when you’ve got Brad Keselowski out here running the Truck Series, it’s very disappointing when you come here and run second. We have high expectations of coming here with Brad and winning and we haven’t achieved that yet and we’ve got a lot of work to do. We’re starting to get behind the eight-ball, unfortunately, so we need to start playing catch-up and figure out where we need to go from here. We need get to our trucks a little better. There’s no reason we should not be coming to the racetrack with Brad and not having a shot at winning.
“We were too tight. We got in the corner really good and turned the middle really good but from the center-off it the truck got really tight and we just never could get on it. It was tight all through practice. We tried everything in practice and for some reason we just could never get the front end to turn. We just need to go back and do our homework.”
