Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 21st HOW WAS YOUR QUALIFYING LAP? “Just missed it in Turns 1 and 2. Once I lost all that momentum I just couldn’t get back up to speed and it really hurt my lap. You’re on such a fine line here and we were on the wrong side of it today in qualifying with the Miller Lite Dodge. It’s a bummer because we were fast right off the truck and grabbed a late qualifying position. We just weren’t able to capitalize on it.”

HOW SLICK WAS THE RACE TRACK TODAY? “The grey is slowly turning into black. Quite honestly it makes it slicker. The track just keeps losing grip; it’s a fine balance right now. Paul Wolfe and the No. 2 car guys are working at it really hard trying to get a balance on it. With an changing race track you have to keep throwing a set-up at it and hope to stumble into something that you like for the race on Sunday.”

Sam Hornish Jr. (No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 15th HOW WAS YOUR QUALIFYING LAP? “Compared to where we were when we unloaded the Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger earlier today it was a solid qualifying effort. Just a little bit too tight trying to pick the throttle back up and (I) never could get back on the throttle coming off of Turn 2 and that’s where we lost a lot of our time. For where I thought the car was at the beginning of practice and where we ended up, I just wish we were a touch more free.”

Todd Gordon (Crew Chief, No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T “We struggled off the truck. We were trying some different things and with Sam not having raced here in the Cup Series in a few years everything compounded for a tough start to the day. We got it better. The guys worked hard and got decent race balance in the Shell/Pennzoil Dodge. We came back at the end of practice and ran a respectable qualifying run. I just wish I didn’t have the car so tight for qualifying. I wanted Sam to be a little tighter than looser and we may have gone a tad too far.”
