Jamie McMurray and No. 1 McDonald’s Team

Phoenix Recap: Jamie McMurray and the No. 1 McDonald’s team battled throughout the 312-lap race to improve on their 19th starting position, running most of the race among the top-15.  After a late gamble on fuel strategy in the closing stages of the race, the No. 1 Chevy SS came home with a 22nd-place finish in the Valley of the Sun.

McMurray at Las Vegas: McMurray will make his 11th start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.  In his previous 10 starts he has accumulated one top-five finish and four top-10 finishes.  McMurray has zero DNFs (did not finish) and has completed 2,671 of 2,691 laps (99.3 %) at the 1.5 mile speedway.  He has an average starting position of 21.8 and an average finishing position of 18.7, with his best start and finish of fourth coming in 2004.
