Steve Wallace Making Second Truck Start of 2013 at Iowa

–Past Iowa Winner Piloting Former RCR Chevy for Hometown Team–

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 4, 2013)-The winner of Iowa Speedway’s inaugural ARCA event in 2006, Steve Wallace (No. 97 Adrian Carriers / Liz Girl Logistics Chevrolet) will look to add to his Hawkeye State success this weekend, in Iowa Speedway’s 200-lap event for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The event will mark his second start for Quad Cities, Iowa-based Adrian Carriers Racing. The first truck start of the year for both Wallace and the Gary and Liz Adrian-owned team came earlier this year at Iowa. In that event, Wallace started 26th and stayed out of trouble to earn a 17th-place finish for the upstart truck operation.

This time around however, Adrian has made an additional investment in the team’s performance. Wallace will be piloting a former Ty Dillon-driven truck–newly acquired from Richard Childress Racing–in the Iowa event.

Noted Wallace, “I’m looking forward to this weekend’s race at Iowa. Gary and Liz Adrian really enjoy racing; they have a lot of experience with various forms of it. We all wanted to get better after our first race and we were able to get a truck from RCR. It’s a really nice piece and I’m very grateful to those guys for helping us. We picked it up just last week and a couple of us have worked day and night in North Carolina to get it ready for Iowa.

“So, putting it all together, we should have a lot faster truck this time, I’ll have more experience working with the Adrian Carriers team and I’ve also heard that Nick Carlson (No. 97 crew chief) and his guys have made some improvements on the pit crew front as well. Hopefully, all of this means that we’ll be able to put together a good run for the Adrian Carriers / Liz Girl Logistics team this weekend in their hometown race.”
