Mike Bliss Kansas Advance

Hoping to Hit the Lottery in Kansas

Mooresville, N.C. (October 1, 2013) – Mike Bliss driver of the No. 19 Toyota Camry for TriStar Motorsports rolls into Kansas Speedway for this weekend’s Kansas Lottery 300 after posting a strong top-10 last weekend at Dover International Speedway last weekend.

In addition to nine Nationwide Series starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval, Bliss has also made six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and two Camping World Truck Series starts, one of which yielded a trip to victory lane in 2002.

Bliss almost beat his track best finish at Kansas when he posted a 13th place finish in the Nationwide Series race in 2012.

This weekend’s Toyota Camry:

Chassis No. 14 will be in action this weekend.  The TriStar Motorsports prepared Toyota Camry was most recently used at Bristol Motor Speedway in August and at Chicagoland Speedway last month where it proved its beastly

status resulting in a 23rd place finish after scuffing the wall in practice.

Mike Bliss on Kansas Speedway:

How is Kansas Speedway different from any other 1.5-mile track on the schedule?

“Kansas is almost entirely flat with minimum banking. Since the repave in 2012 the track is very smooth and has a lot of grip. We race at a lot of 1.5-mile tracks throughout the season. You’d think they would all blend together, but they all race differently. I think Kansas should be fun considering we haven’t raced there since last year.”
