Dakoda Armstrong Race Summary: In his sixth NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the 2013 season, 22-year-old Dakoda Armstrong and the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports / WinField Toyota Camry started the Nationwide Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway from the 34th position. Working with a new team and a new Crew Chief, Armstrong knew there may be some challenges to overcome during the 300-mile event. Battling a loose handling race car during the first half of the race, the WinField Toyota seemed to come around for Armstrong during the later stages of the event. Armstrong was able to maneuver around all of the late lap incidents to take the checkered flag in the 24th position.

- Armstrong’s 24th place finish helped solidify an 18th place finish position in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Owner Point Standings for the TriStar Motorsports No. 19 Toyota Camry.
Armstrong: “It was really unfortunate how much grip the track lost from practice to the race. I thought that we were close to having the WinField Camry figured out prior to qualifying, but the track was just so free that I couldn’t push it as hard as I wanted for qualifying or the race. We made a lot of adjustments to try and help the four wheel slide, and I think we finally got close towards the end of the night. I’m thankful for the chance to get any extra experience behind the wheel and I’m glad WinField and TriStar gave me this opportunity to close out the 2013 season.”
