Koch Makes Front Row Motorsports Debut at Phoenix

‘This Could Be a Dream Come True’ Getting a Shot in No. 35 Ford

STATESVILLE, FEBRUARY 25, 2014 – Blake Koch, driver of the No. 35 MDS Transport Ford comments on racing at Phoenix International Raceway:“I’m really excited to get into the Cup car. I’m looking at this as a great opportunity and an audition, too, to go to Phoenix and, first off, make the race and then, second, finish the best we can and learn as much as we can. And then go to Vegas and do the same thing. And we’ll see where it takes me from there. I’m definitely very grateful for this opportunity and I’m going to give it all I’ve got.“It’s tough to get here and it’s tough to stay here. Seats don’t open very often. So, this could be a dream come true. I just can’t thank the team enough for giving me this opportunity.

“Phoenix is the type of track where I could go there and realistically have a shot at qualifying top-20 and have an amazing weekend. I think I’ve raced at Phoenix more than any other track. It will still be a tough race to qualify for. I won’t have many laps in the car before we actually qualify. But I’ll just apply everything I’ve learned up to this point, put it all together and run the best lap I can.”

JUST THE FACTS: Koch has one other Sprint Cup start (Charlotte, October 2013) in his racing career … He has nine career starts at Phoenix in the Nationwide and K&N West series.
