ADVANCE NOTES

·        Last Year at the All-Star

o   With a fast pit-stop by his crew, Biffle earned a third-place starting position in his Filtrete Ford.  Contact with another car on a green-flag run during the race caused Biffle’s left-rear tire to go down, forcing him to pit-road and bringing out the caution.  Despite the unfortunate luck, Biffle was able to be the “lucky dog” and be back on the lead lap for the final 10 lap segment resulting in a 15th-place finish.

·        Biffle in the All-Star

o   This Saturday will mark Biffle’s 11th Sprint All-Star appearance, in his previous 10 starts he has two top-five and three top-10 finishes.

·        The Car

o   Chassis RK-890 last raced at California where debris on the grille caused Biffle’s Ford to overheat.

Biffle on the All-Star race:

“I’m looking forward to the All-Star race; hopefully we can continue running well on 1.5-mile tracks.  Night races are always exciting and hopefully we can learn some things for the Coke 600 next weekend.”

Puccia on the All-Star race:

“The All-Star race is a non-points race where we can just go all in and go for a million bucks.  We use the All-Star race as an opportunity for track time and to work on some things for the Coke 600 next weekend.  We look to apply some stuff that we’ve been working on testing the last few weeks and go for a million dollars on Saturday night.”
