KURT BUSCH (No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 20th “It was just too tight and had to wait on it too long in the center of the corner. If you’re waiting on a short track, you’re going to be about 20th.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 23rd “The car just wasn’t as fast as we hoped. We’ll just work on it more tomorrow, looking for some more front grip. I feel pretty confident in the change NASCAR and Goodyear are making with the tires; we won’t have any tire issues. We get to practice on a set tomorrow with the new compound; we’ll see what we need to do for the race.”

ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Food City/SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 33rd “My lap was OK. The track definitely changed between practice and qualifying as the sun came out. I was just a little free on the gas and went about a half-of-a-tenth than what we were in practice. We’re excited about having Food City on the car this weekend with SPEED Energy. Tires were not an issue for us today because we focused on runs in qualifying trim.”
