Ragan Ready to ‘Fight a Good Fight’ against the Monster

Plimpton & Hills Joins No. 34 Team as First-Time Primary Sponsor at Dover

STATESVILLE, SEPTEMBER 23, 2014 – David Ragan, driver of the No. 34 Plimpton & Hills Ford, comments on racing at Dover International Speedway:

“Dover is an intense racetrack. It’s similar to Bristol, which is very fast and you don’t have much chance to breathe. Dover is very much the same way. You’re in the corners a lot, the straightaways have a lot of banking, and it’s just very fast. Even though we’re not at 210 miles-an-hour speed like we saw at Michigan, it feels fast. You can feel the acceleration of the car falling into those corners. Dover’s an awesome racetrack. If you run well, you feel like you’ve fought a good fight all day long.”We’ll have a new sponsor with us at Dover, which is pretty cool. Plimpton & Hills is a family-owned company that’s been around for over a hundred years, selling plumbing and heating and cooling products. And they have a partnership with State Water Heaters, which Front Row Motorsports has worked with, so you could sort of call us all ‘extended family.’ We’re happy to have them at the track and on our No. 34 Ford.”
JUST THE FACTS: Ragan has 16 Sprint Cup career starts at Dover International Speedway … He has two top-15 finishes at the one-mile oval … His best finish at Dover is 14th (2007) … Plimpton & Hills makes its first appearance on the No. 34 as primary sponsor at the ‘Monster Mile.’
