Bayne at Charlotte

·         Trevor Bayne makes his seventh NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday evening. In six previous starts at the 1.5-mile oval, Bayne has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes.

·         In 41 career starts on 1.5-mile tracks in the NNS, Bayne has recorded one win, 10 top-five finishes, 19 top-10 finishes and has an average finish of 11.1.

·         According to NASCAR’s loop data statistics, Bayne ranks first in quality passes with an average of 41.5 passes a race. The driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang also ranks seventh in average running position (11.3), ninth in driver rating (91.7) and 10th in laps run inside the top 15 (1,042).

·         Bayne will also  make his Roush Fenway Racing debut in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) this weekend in Charlotte, piloting the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion.

·         In five previous NSCS starts at Charlotte, Bayne has completed 99.2 percent (1,853 out of 1,868) laps at the 1.5-mile oval.

·         Bayne’s average start of 16.4 at Charlotte ranks second among all tracks he has competed on in the NSCS, trailing only Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway where he has an average start of 14.0.

·         Bayne earned his best finish of 16th at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the May 26, 2013 running of the Coca-Cola 600.

Better Half Dash

·         Bayne’s wife, Ashton, will also get behind the wheel this weekend, as she will drive an AdvoCare sponsored Bandolero in the Better Half Dash on Thursday evening on the quarter-mile of Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Car

·         Crew chief Chad Norris brings chassis RK-849 to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. This chassis raced earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway, the May event in Charlotte and in the both events at Chicagoland, earning finishes of 23rd, eighth, second and fifth, respectively.

·         Crew chief Bob Osborne will bring chassis RK-931 to Charlotte Motor Speedway for Saturday night.

Recapping Kansas

·         Bayne took the green flag from the 11th position at the Kansas Speedway and ran inside the top 10 for much of the 200-Lap event. After fighting a loose handling condition in the late stages, Bayne was able to hold off a charge from Brian Scott to earn an eighth-place finish. With the result, Bayne remains sixth in the NNS championship standings and trails leader Chase Elliott by 97 points.
