Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway

SEASON FINALE: Elliott Sadler and the No. 11 OneMain Financial team travel south to Homestead-Miami Speedway this week for the last race of the 2014 Nationwide Series season. In eight NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Homestead-Miami, Sadler has one top-five and three top-10 finishes with 33 laps led. In addition, the veteran driver has 13 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Homestead-Miami, with one top-10 finish.

JUST THE STATS: After 32 races in the 2014 season, Sadler is currently in fourth place in the Nationwide Series driver championship point standings, 66 points back from the lead. Chase Elliott secured the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series driver points championship at Phoenix International Speedway last weekend, but Sadler can mathematically finish the season as high as second place. The Emporia, Va., native has one win, one pole award, seven top-five and 24 top-10 finishes in the 2014 season.

LAST RACE: PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY: Sadler qualified in the fourth position for the Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Nov 8th. Sadler battled all the way up to second, but after 300 laps, the checkered flag waved and the No. 11 finished in the third position. Sadler was the highest finishing Nationwide Series regular.

ELLIOTT SADLER QUOTES: “Finishing third this past weekend was a great way to build up the momentum and team morale heading into the final race of the season. Even though we didn’t win the Championship this year, we still have a mathematical chance to finish in second place. I personally want to finish my last race on a strong note, and I can’t think of a better way than bringing home the checkered flag and celebrating in Victory Lane.”

RACE INFO: The Ford EcoBoost 300 will be on ESPN2 at 4:30 p.m. ET, on Saturday, Nov 15th, as well as MRN and SIRIUSXM 90.

BRANCH DECAL PROGRAM: For each race that OneMain Financial is the primary sponsor on the No. 11 Toyota, two branches will be highlighted on Sadler’s rear quarter panels. The branches selected for this upcoming race at Homestead-Miami Speedway are No. 017 in Pembroke Pines, FL, and No. 178 in Port St. Lucie, FL.

RACE CAR APPEARANCES: The No.11 OneMain Financial Toyota Camry will be in four locations this week in the state of Florida. The race car will be located at the OneMain Financial branch in St. Augustine at 204 State Road 312, St. Augustine, FL 32086 on Tuesday Nov 11th. On Wednesday Nov 12th, the car will be at the OneMain Financial branch in Orlando at 4972 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. On Thursday Nov 13th, the car will be at the OneMain Financial branch in West Palm Beach at 1937-O N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33409. THINK PINK: All year long Sadler has represented pink Oakley driving shoes to show support for breast cancer awareness and honor his mom, Bell. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, and is now a survivor. With October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sadler and OneMain Financial ran a special all pink paint scheme at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct 10th. In addition, Sadler sported a custom pink fire suit and custom pink helmet to match the car. All month long, fans had the opportunity to bid on his race-worn shoes, gloves, suit and helmet. During the month of October, over $4,000 was raised from auctioning off Sadler’s race items. Proceeds from the auctions will go toward breast cancer research and education.
