Whitt Takes Track Experience to Phoenix

Sprouts Farmers Market Joins No. 35 Team for Race in the Desert

STATESVILLE, MARCH 11, 2015 – Cole Whitt, driver of the No. 35 Sprouts Farmers Market Ford, comments on racing at Phoenix International Raceway:”Phoenix is probably the track I have the most laps on in a Cup car. I’ve run all the races that they’ve had on it since the repave, so I guess you could say I have the same experience on this track as the rest of the guys. Even before the Cup Series, I’ve also raced at Phoenix, and won, in the Silver Crown Series. So, it’s a track I’m pretty familiar with and pretty comfortable on, even with the repave.

“We will have a new sponsor with us this week in Phoenix, Sprouts Farmers Market. It’s a great partner for me because I believe in eating healthy and they’re committed to providing healthy food to their customers. Sprouts has a lot of locations in the Phoenix area, so I’ll be sure to stop at one on my way to the track.”

JUST THE FACTS: Whitt has four Sprint Cup career starts at Phoenix International Raceway… His top finish at the one-mile oval is 25th (2011) … Sprouts Farmers Market joins the No. 35 team at Phoenix for the first time as primary sponsor.
