56th Annual Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
News and Notes:
Heading into Sunday nights Coca-Cola 600, Bliss will be making his 176th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start. The Milwaukie, OR native will be making only his fifth appearance in the renowned NASCAR endurance race. Bliss’s last Coca-Cola 600 came back in 2011 where he finished 30th. Bliss has visited victory lane at Charlotte Motor Speedway twice in his NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) career, with the most recent being the spring 2009 event.
Mike Bliss on Charlotte:
“Charlotte is always a blast a drive, and it’s always nice racing so close to home. During the Showdown last weekend, we showed some really good speed, and the car we are bringing this weekend is a better piece. It should be a fun weekend, and I’m really excited.”
Chassis Info:
Crew Chief Clinton Cram will be bringing chassis GGR 815 to serve as the primary car. This chassis last raced at Kansas on May 9th with Joey Gase. Chassis GGR 289 will serve as the backup car.
