POOLE LOOKING FOR SOME BLUE GRASS STATE MAGIC

For the third consecutive week, Brennan Poole returns to the seat of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro. Through 10 starts, Poole has one top-10 and five top-15 finishes, with an average start of 16.8 and an average finish of 20.3. Poole’s most recent ARCA Racing Series victory was in Kentucky last October. He led 27 of 100 laps that night in his first-ever start at the 1.5-mile speedway.

RIDE WITH POOLE

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Friday’s 300-mile race. Tune into NBC Sports Network for all the action from the Kentucky 300.

A LOOK BACK ON DAYTONA

Poole was behind the wheel of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro for the third and final superspeedway race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Poole started 16th and in the first 30 laps of the race, managed to work his way into the top-10 and stay there for much of the middle stages of the 100-lap race. Following a cycle of pit stops under green, Poole ran a race-high eighth. After a restart with 15 laps to go, Poole was beginning to make his way to the front when two competitors made contact near the front of the field causing a major accident. Poole managed to avoid the first few spinning cars, but while driving on the track’s apron hit the curb on the sports car course and slid up hitting the outside wall, ending the rookie driver’s night. Poole would ultimately finish 36th.

POOLE ON KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

“Kentucky will always be a special place in my racing career. I won my last ARCA race there in October. It has several grooves with a surface that is worn and bumpy, which makes it fun to race on. Kentucky has awesome fans and I can’t wait to race in front of them this weekend.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

“Kentucky is truly a driver’s track. Once the surface begins to take rubber it will develop two nice grooves to race on. We do all of our practice during the day and race at night, so making the right adjustments as the track changes will be important. This race can also see quite a bit of pit strategy, so getting off-sequence can be crucial to having a good finish as well.”
