CHASTAIN READY FOR KENTUCKY

SPARTA, Ky. – Ross Chastain knows what it’s like to run at the front at Kentucky Speedway.

Chastain finished 10th last year in an Xfinity Series race at the 1.5-mile track and hopes to better than effort in Friday night’s Kentucky 300.

Chastain will be driving a JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet (No. 4) sponsored by Watermelon.org and the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety. The Kentucky office is partnering with Chastain’s watermelon theme to promote “Don’t Be A Melon Head…Buckle Up”.

Chastain, having an excellent rookie season in the Xfinity Series, sits 14th in driver points entering Friday’s race.

Xfinity drivers are scheduled to practice at 2 and 4 p.m. Thursday. Qualifying is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Friday, with the race to follow at 7:30.
