CASSILL 16TH IN KENTUCKY 300

SPARTA, Ky. – Landon Cassill scored a 16th-place finish in Friday night’s Kentucky 300 Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

Cassill qualified 21st and ran with the lead group most of the evening. He finished a lap down and stayed in 17th in Xfinity Series driver points.

“We had a pretty good car and probably could have finished a little better,” Cassill said of his best run since a 17th-place finish at Charlotte. “The G&K Services Chevrolet was in good shape most of the night. We’ll shoot higher next time.”

Sprint Cup invader Brad Keselowski won the race. Chris Buescher finished 11th and padded his series point lead to 36th.
The series moves on to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a July 18 race.
