CASSILL RETURNS TO INDY

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Landon Cassill returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend hoping for a strong finish in one of the Xfinity Series season’s biggest races.

Cassill has driven seven times at the world’s most famous speedway – five times in Sprint Cup and twice in Xfinity.

“It’s a grand place,” Cassill said. “It’s hard on race cars, but it’s fun to drive, too, because you can make up a lot of ground with a good car. The turns are very challenging.”

Cassill, driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet, sits 17th in Xfinity points entering the Lilly Diabetes 250.Practice is scheduled at Indy at noon and 2:30 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:45 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
